I was just thinking of how many people just register on this board for the links and dont even participate in the community or even post anything, they just take the links and go, so why dont you put a thing where you have to reply before the link shows up, like a link protector or link hider or something? Because in so many threads there are 100 people who viewed the thing, and only two who replied in it.

Great idea! But then people would just reply with one letter so they could get the link. For Example "j" I'm not sure it would prevent anything. But I do agree we need something to protect from people like that.

I just thought it would be good so that people actually have to take some time to get the links rather than freeloading off other people's hard work in getting the links on. He he he. I guess they can just write any letter, but at least they have to do something! hahahaha

yes thats a good idea, but i dont think that forumer allows that kind of html.

yea in my other forum u have to post to get the link and also you cannot go into the download section until you have more than 50 post counts

i think link hiders are a good idea in principle, but they're just annoying to those of us who do post regularly. i think the moderators should just continue to delete the accounts of people who dont participate

you should post music at least once a month and make 10 posts. forcing people to post to see links is only going to make the boards spammy and will keep the newer music from staying on top of the forums. A few thanks in a thread is good enough, I'd go nuts if every thread had 50+ replies since that'd continually force the newer topics with less replies off the front page of the forum.

Since forums can't change the settings, maybe y'all should enforce everyone to create a StreamLoad account. Streamload is awesome....what you do is, upload the album to your account(you get like 10 GB of storage)then post saying you have the album and ask people to post their streamload account names so the person can send you the links through streamload....

thats cool! but dont ya think that it would be hard to send links individually? Plus how bout if your topic is like 100 day old and someone want to have the link, do you think that the uploader would be nice or free enough to send it again?

You can select more than 1 item in a streamload email. (They are like attachment...there's no real limit.) And If the person wants a album re upped, the person can ask in the requests section and someone who has it can upload to their streamload and send through it.... right?

^You can wait til the end of the day to send it, it lets you send to more than 1 streamload account at a time.

if you do the streamload thing, its too inconvenient, some people want things straight away, i know i wont want to wait for someone to send links to me, or i would just go to a blog for links and things like that
